I can always spend time looking at the sea.
An evening walk at Black Rock, Widemouth Bay. As the sun went down the colour just kept intensifying, no post processing required! It was as if the sky wanted to join in with Bonfire Night. The right place at the right time, you just had to be there.
2022/11/05I had been crewing on a racing yacht in the Little Britain Challenge Cup – the property and construction industry’s annual sailing regatta. We were having a great time, and decided to have an evening bar-b-que on the beach. This was the perfect end to day.
2007/09/06This was taken at the north end of Gwithian Beach, Cornwall
Taking advantage of a nice afternoon on the north Cornwall coast. This is looking north from Gwithian at low tide.
2022/09/14This was taken at the north end of Northolt Beach, Devon
An early evening walk along the beach on the north Devon coast. These rocks stretch out to sea, and on the top was this single seagull keeping lookout on what we were all doing - the sentinel.
2021/08/14Taken from Hurst Point, Keyhaven.
A lovely warm day out in April, walking along the beach out to Hurst Castle, then back for a pub lunch. There were people out just mucking about on the water - some of them even sailing! On the way back these yachts just lined themselves up. I'm tempted to do this as a triptych.
2022/04/15A solitary dog walker on Northcott Beach at the end of October.
2021/10/31It's a well-worn trope, but that's for a reason! these wonderful old weather-worn posts are the remains of a groyne to try and stop beach erosion, sadly not doing much work any more.
2022/06/04Working on it's "three seasons in a day" theme, this is St. Ives, Cornwall, mid-afternoon in July. The morning had been OK, but that was so last season ...
2023/07/06Two gulls on the rocks between Duckpool and Warren Gutter beaches (where do they get those names!) A Christmas Eve walk and real Winter lighting over the sea made some beautiful shots along the coast from Steeple Point.
2022/06/04Westward Ho! when the tide's out, a few days before Christmas.
